TruePair is an adults-only relationship, matchmaking, matrimonial-introduction, and social-introduction service. These Community Guidelines explain the conduct and content expected across profiles, photos, messages, calls, reports, agency or family participation, and other TruePair interactions.
These Guidelines supplement the TruePair Terms of Use. If the Guidelines and Terms conflict, the Terms control.
1. Treat people with dignity
Communicate honestly and respectfully. Do not threaten, stalk, harass, bully, intimidate, shame, coerce, blackmail, or repeatedly contact someone who has declined or blocked contact. Respect personal, cultural, religious, family, and relationship boundaries.
Disagreement is not automatically abuse, but targeted hostility, dehumanization, credible intimidation, and repeated unwanted conduct are prohibited.
2. Be authentic
Use accurate information and content you have the right to share. Do not impersonate another person or organization; misrepresent age, identity, location, relationship status, profession, intentions, or verification; create an account for someone without valid authority; or manipulate profile and trust signals.
Approved agency, marriage-bureau, family, or representative participation must use TruePair’s designated roles and consent controls. Representatives must not conceal their role or override the represented person’s choices.
3. Keep TruePair adults-only
You must be at least 18 to use TruePair. Content that sexualizes, exploits, grooms, endangers, or appears to involve a minor is prohibited. Do not submit images of children as profile or relationship content. Apparent child sexual exploitation is escalated and handled as required by law.
4. Prohibited sexual and intimate content
Do not post or send pornography, sexually explicit solicitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual coercion, requests for explicit content, or intimate material shared without every depicted person’s permission. TruePair is not an adult-content or anonymous-chat service.
5. No hate, violence, or dangerous conduct
Do not promote or celebrate hate, dehumanization, terrorism, graphic violence, credible threats, self-harm encouragement, or unlawful discrimination. Context may matter for reporting, education, or support, but content that creates a credible or immediate safety risk may be removed or escalated without advance notice.
If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. TruePair is not an emergency-response service.
6. No scams, exploitation, or deceptive solicitation
Do not request money, credentials, gift cards, cryptocurrency, investments, financial transfers, or sensitive documents through deception or pressure. Phishing, romance scams, fraud, spam, undisclosed commercial solicitation, pyramid schemes, trafficking, blackmail, and attempts to move users into unsafe transactions are prohibited.
Never send money or financial credentials because another user asks you to do so.
7. Respect privacy and intellectual property
Do not share another person’s address, workplace, financial data, identity documents, private messages, images, health information, or other sensitive information without proper authority. Do not upload copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected material unless you have permission or another lawful basis.
Do not scrape, harvest, sell, publish, or use TruePair data to identify, profile, or target people outside the Service.
8. Protect service integrity
Do not distribute malware, automate account creation or messaging, scrape profiles, evade enforcement, bypass blocks, manipulate ranking or reporting, perform unauthorized security testing, or interfere with TruePair systems. Repeated false, retaliatory, or abusive reports are also prohibited.
9. Reporting and blocking
Use the in-app report action for content or conduct that may violate these Guidelines. Reporting is distinct from blocking: a report sends the concern into TruePair’s safety process, while a block restricts interaction and visibility. Reporting may also apply a protective block when the product tells you it will.
For details, see Safety and Reporting. Reporters should include accurate information and should not submit sensitive evidence unrelated to the concern.
10. Enforcement and appeals
TruePair may restrict visibility, remove content, warn users, limit features, suspend accounts, remove accounts, preserve narrowly relevant evidence, or refer matters to competent authorities when appropriate. We consider severity, context, harm, history, intent, applicable law, and available evidence.
Automated safeguards can make mistakes. When review or appeal is available, follow the in-app instructions or see Content Moderation and Appeals. An appeal does not guarantee reversal and does not entitle anyone to another person’s report or private information.
